Accent Diamonds
Encircling the center stone in this design is a halo of smaller, split prong set diamonds, which add their own sparkle while also reflecting additional light back up onto the larger stone at the top. This enhances the beauty of the center stone, and it also highlights its exquisite grey color. Halo Engagement Rings
To round out the design, this ring also includes some bright cut set diamonds running down the shoulders of the shank. These help to tie the top setting in with the rest of the piece, and they offer some additional sparkle in their own right.
Metal Detailing and Customization
One element of this ring that the client was particularly precise about was where she wanted milgrain included and where she did not. This type of detailed metalwork really adds a nice vintage feel to the piece, and because it’s completed in our Bellevue, WA location by our skilled artisans, we can place it as precisely as you’d like.
In addition to modifying or adding custom metalwork, you can also personalize this design by substituting a gemstone with special significance for you in one or multiple spots in this ring. For instance, blue sapphire is a popular alternative to a diamond in an engagement ring, and it would make a dramatic statement atop this gorgeous piece.

Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
