Description
This exquisite engagement ring features a cushion cut champagne diamond prong set in unplated white gold, with white diamond, hand engraving, and milgrain accents. It was created for a client from Monroe, WA, who first came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to get the custom design process started.

We then shared proofs of her design with her through the online workroom we created for the project, and this allowed her to provide feedback as well. We made the adjustments she asked for, and we then grew a wax mold of the design that she and her fiancé came in to inspect. She also visited to take a look at the ring right before we added the custom hand engraving to make sure the pattern she picked was perfect. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Stone
A 1.00 carat champagne diamond sits atop this ring, and its lovely golden color is complemented perfectly by the warm tone of the unplated white gold that it’s set in. This combination gives the piece a unique look while still sticking with the traditional diamond, and it reinforces the antique themes introduced by the other design elements as well. Diamonds are available in several shades including pink, brown, and the champagne seen here. Using a colored diamond in your piece can be a great way to help it stand out from the crowd, and it also gives you the opportunity to work a color of special significance into your ring.
Diamond Accents
A line of 5 round bright cut set diamonds runs down each of the shank shoulders, and a round bright cut set diamond also sits inside each of the leaf shapes on both ring fronts. Directly below these on both sides is a single bezel set round diamond, and all of these are lined with milgrain, which helps tie the details in with the rest of the design elements.
Hand Engraving and Milgrain
The lovely wheat pattern engraved on both the top and fronts of this piece echoes the organic themes of the leaf design on the fronts to reinforce the antique style and also to bring a satisfying flow to the ring.
Milgrain beading frames all accent diamonds, and it continues down along the edges of the hand-engraved sections as well. This adds some vintage flair, while also bringing a sense of completion to the piece. Vintage Engagement Rings

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
