This exquisite engagement ring features a cushion cut diamond surrounded by a diamond halo, with diamond, hand engraving, and milgrain accents on the band. It was created for a client from Colorado Springs, CO as part of a custom wedding set that also included wedding band #100814.

Our client began the custom design process by taking advantage of the Ring Builder feature on our website to share her ideas about what her ideal ring would include. We worked with her to find the right combination of features and stones to get the look she was after while still staying within her budget, and she was very happy with the wedding set we produced for her.
Center Diamond and Halo
The center stone in this ring is a 0.90 carat cushion cut diamond, and it’s displayed beautifully in a four-prong, 14k white gold setting. Running around this larger diamond is a halo of round bright cut set diamonds that follows the contours of the cushion cut to give the piece some antique flair. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents and Engraving
Just below the halo on each shank shoulder is a bezel set baguette diamond, followed by three round bright cut set diamonds. These help tie in with the center halo, while the angular shape of the baguettes invokes the kind of art deco styling our client was interested in.
A beautiful custom hand engraving covered the top and fronts of the ring all the way down to the three quarter point on the band. Our client specified which patterns she wanted to use and where she wanted each, and our expert artisans executed the designs to perfection.
The hand-engraved sections, as well as the diamond halo and all accent diamonds, are framed with milgrain beading to bring a sense of completion and unity to the design while also intensifying the antique overtones of the piece.
Custom Wedding Sets
This ring was made simultaneously with the matching wedding band, which allowed us to ensure they fit together exactly as our client wanted. When we began designing the engagement ring, we included a filigree basket below the center setting. But when it became clear that the client wanted a straight wedding band that fit flush against her engagement ring, we removed the basket on one side to allow for a perfect alignment of the two rings.
While the matching wedding band does not have any diamonds, it is covered by the same hand-engraved patterns as the engagement ring and also lined with milgrain, which helps to create a link between the two pieces and a wonderful, unified display.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
