Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in the center of a diamond halo, with split prong set diamond accents on the criss-cross shank. The piece was created for a couple from New York, NY, who worked with us extensively online to make sure every detail was exactly right. The clients were so happy with the way this piece turned out that they came back to us for his and hers wedding bands as well.

Center Diamond and Halo
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.70 carat round brilliant cut diamond, whose dazzling fire is only intensified by the halo of round brilliant cut diamonds surrounding it. These are all prong set in 14k white gold, and their arrangement and relative sizes introduces a hint of a floral theme to the piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamonds are a traditional choice for engagement rings, but there are many ways to use them to create a unique effect. One option is to go with a large center stone, or you can create that effect by using multiple smaller diamonds grouped closely together in a cluster style, as this ring does. The layout of the diamonds in this center setting also contributes to the overall classical aesthetic of the piece. Halo Engagement Rings
Accent Diamonds and Shank Design
Additional accent diamonds are split prong set running down the criss-cross split shank until the mid-point of the band. The choice of setting used here helps reinforce the classical themes, and we used this same arrangement on the companion contoured wedding band we made for our clients later to create a link between the two rings.
Custom Wedding Sets
You’re likely to always wear your engagement ring and wedding band together, which is it's nice to have them made to match from both a style and comfort perspective. If you already know that’s what you want, we recommend having both pieces made at the same time to ensure uniformity across all design features.
However, we can always make an engagement ring to start and then come back to the band later. In the case of a contoured band such as this ring required, however, we will need to use your engagement ring as a guide throughout the production process to ensure a perfect fit. We can also make a wedding band to match an existing engagement ring even if we didn’t make it originally, and we’re always glad to discuss your various options with you to make sure you come away with the perfect piece to commemorate your perfect day. Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
