Custom Diamond Halo Engagement Ring
Item #102990Engagement Ring Description
He was interested in drawing certain features from each piece to combine into a new ring, and we worked back and forth with him through several rounds of revisions until we found exactly the right combination to get the look he was after while still staying within his budget. Center Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.40 carat round brilliant cut diamond prong set in white gold. It’s raised slightly above the halo, and this placement helps the diamond stand out while keeping it proportional with the rest of the design.
The halo surrounding this lovely center stone is made of small round diamonds that are shared prong set. This type of setting keeps minimal metal visible around the stones and it keeps the line of the halo tight, allowing it to enhance the sparkle of the larger diamond without overshadowing it. Custom Filigree and Milgrain
There are three sections of custom filigree on each ring front, with the largest below the main setting and one beneath each shank shoulder. These reflect an elegant scroll pattern, and they’re tailored to fit in the space available. These are lined with milgrain beading for a bit of vintage flair, as is the inner margin of the band all the way around.
Diamond Accents
Split prong set diamonds run down the top of the shank all the way to the three-quarter mark. These were bright cut set in our original models, but the client decided he liked the look better when they spanned nearly the entire width of the band, and so we switched to the split prong setting to achieve this. He also had us downsize the center stone slightly to add more diamonds on the band since his fiancee-to-be had mentioned how much she liked that look.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
