Center Setting and Halo
At the top of this ring, a 1.50 carat round brilliant cut diamond is cradled in a four-prong setting made from 14k yellow gold. The prongs emerge from the inner margin of the halo, and they extend straight up a bit beyond the spot where they meet the girdle of the diamond. This contrasts subtly with the perfect curves of the stone in the center, helping to highlight the beauty and elegance of the cut. Diamond Engagement Rings
A halo of split prong set diamonds surrounds the center stone, and this brings a dazzling sparkle as well as a classical feel to the piece. The halo is slightly squared in relation to the center, with rounded corners that line up precisely with the prongs holding the larger diamond. This helps make the center setting appear even larger, and it also contributes to the contrast between angular and circular elements within the piece. Halo Engagement Rings
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrow and straight all the way around, rising up to meet the underside of the halo on either side. Both shank shoulders are lined with split prong set diamonds beginning at this meeting point and continuing down to about the mid-point on each side. These diamonds are the same size and are set in the same fashion as those in the halo, and that detail serves as a unifying feature for the two sections of the piece. All together, the diamonds in the halo and on the band combine to total 0.46 carats.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
