Custom Hand Engraved Diamond Solitaire Engagement Ring
Item #100608 $5,038 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Diamond Solitaire
The main modification the client made to the original design was to remove the accent diamonds from the shoulders of the ring and turn it into a true solitaire. He also requested that we taper the shank as it nears the center setting rather than allowing it to widen, as it does to accommodate the additional diamonds in the inspiration piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
The diamond that sits atop this ring is a 1 carat round brilliant cut stone, and the four prongs holding it in place rise up smoothly from bands of the tapered shank that split off from the main section and cross each other below the center stone. This criss-cross section is also lined with milgrain beading for a classic vintage look.
Hand Engraving
A beautiful swirling pattern is hand engraved over most of the shank, running down the top and sides of the ring to the three quarter point. This type of detail is completed by our skilled artisans as the last step in the production process. They use a bench microscope to ensure the greatest possible precision in the engraving, and because each piece is completed by hand, we can replicate nearly any design or pattern you’d like.
Unifying Features
This ring was created as part of a bridal set that also included men’s wedding band #102006. While the style of these two rings is very different, the same pattern of hand engraving is included on both. This type of shared feature helps to unify a set, and it can also symbolize the bond that you’ll always share.
Especially when you’re including features like this custom hand engraving, it’s a good idea to have all pieces in your set made at the same time. This allows us to ensure that all details match exactly, and also that the women’s engagement ring and wedding band will sit comfortably flush when worn together.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
