Oval Sapphire
The dazzling centerpiece of this ring is an oval blue sapphire, and it’s held in four platinum prongs that transition seamlessly out of the strands of the split shank below. The sapphire is set lengthwise across the band so that it’s inline with the finger when worn, and this helps give the ring a more balanced feel. Sapphire and Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents and Band Design
The band is flat and relatively wide at the bottom, although it does widen a bit more as it moves up the side. It splits just before the mid-point, with two thinner strands on either side running up to form the prongs of the center setting. The wider middle portion continues the original curve of the band, running directly under the oval sapphire and connecting to the same spot on the opposite side. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
This middle section is channel set with princess cut and baguette diamonds in an alternating pattern, and the 11 diamonds used together total exactly one carat. These provide a dramatic contrast, both in terms of color and shape, to the rich blue stone at the top, and their placement contributes greatly to the unique contemporary flair of the design.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
