Description
This elegant engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond prong set in white gold and accented with custom filigree on the shank shoulders and fronts. It was created for a client from Auburn, WA, who initially contacted us online to learn a bit more about the custom design process and share his ideas about the piece he wanted for his fiancee-to-be.

After seeing a few sketches of the types of things we could do, he visited our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to discuss the project further. He was also concerned about getting just the right diamond for the center, and so we went over several different options with him until we found the perfect combination of size, color and quality. Diamond Solitaire
The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.85 carat round brilliant cut diamond that’s slightly included and J in color. It’s cradled in a four prong white gold setting that arises naturally from the ends of the shank as they cross over each other below the center setting on their way to the top. Choosing a diamond for your ring can be a little overwhelming, especially if you’re not familiar with the terminology generally used to describe these dazzling gems. We will, of course, select only the highest-quality stones to go in your ring, and we’ll bring a selection in ahead of time if you’d like to come in and pick yours out personally.
Celtic Knot Design
A Celtic knot design covers the shoulders of the shank, extending down from the perimeter of the main setting. Two of its points rest up against the prongs holding the center diamond, while the third points down along the band. There is also a small scroll filigree below the shank shoulders on each ring front to help tie everything together and complete the look. Celtic Rings

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

- Inspection every six monthsOur jewelers inspect your piece and provide ongoing care for the custom jewelry we make for you.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
