Center Diamond
At the top of this ring, a one carat radiant cut diamond is prong set in 18k white gold. Radiant cuts can be square or rectangular, and either one could work well in this design. The stone in this particular ring is square, with the flat prongs curving smoothly over its cropped corners. This shape can also be a nice compromise between a completely square princess cut and the softer shape of a cushion cut. Diamond Engagement Rings
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Round bright cut set diamonds cover the shank of the ring on both the top and fronts all the way down to the three-quarter point. These are arranged in rows, with a line of milgrain beading running between each of them. A small V-shaped section of these diamonds sits right at the top of the shank next to the main setting, and the intricate detail involved in the layout of these accent diamonds helps give the ring a lovely and glamorous flair.
Bright cut set diamonds lined with milgrain are present on the fronts of the main setting as well, with rows of them lining the sides of the prongs and the cross-pieces of the basket below the center stone. The extensive use of milgrain beading, as well as the choice of a radiant cut for the center, helps to place this piece firmly in the vintage category, and this also demonstrates clearly how a few small design decisions can hugely impact the overall appearance of a piece. Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
