Platinum Custom Three Stone Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #104058 $6,563 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Three-stone Setting
At the top of this ring, a large emerald cut diamond is cradled in a six prong setting made of 14k yellow gold. The prongs are all bar-shaped, which is a look the client requested, and four of them wrap up and around the cropped corners of the stone. The final pair meet the diamond right in the middle of its two short edges, which are positioned to lie in line with the finger when worn. Diamond Engagement Rings
The two side stones, which combined total 0.82 carats, are each held in four prong settings that position them slightly lower than the center. Unlike in many three-stone settings, however, the side stones don’t follow the curvature of the band below, maintaining a position that’s nearly level with the angle of the center stone. This gives the ring a decidedly contemporary feel, which is exactly what the client was hoping for.
Custom Design Process
This ring was made as an update to an existing piece that the client provided, and so we used that design as a guide while incorporating the client’s feedback along the way. We also used the three stones from the original design, which dictated the dimensions of the ring to a great degree. Unique Engagement Rings Seattle
If you’re looking to create your own custom piece, you may want to begin, as this client did, with some existing stones with special significance to you. Alternately, you could take this design and modify it to make it a better match for your personal style. That may involve changing the shape of the stones in the main setting or even changing the types of stones used, as any modifications along these lines would bring a different character to the piece while leaving the underlying framework of the design intact.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
