Center Setting
The main diamond in this ring is a large princess cut stone, which is cradled in a 14k white gold setting made up of four rounded prongs that rise up from below to meet the stone at its corners. This placement of the prongs helps to accentuate the clean lines of the cut, and the openness of the setting on the sides ensures that plenty of light can reach the diamond from all sides. Diamond Accents and Band Design
Directly below the main diamond on each ring front, a smaller squared diamond is bezel set with its corners rotated 45 degrees to sit at the compass positions. These two accent stones add a surprise sparkle and some glamorous flair to the design while also reinforcing the elegant shape of the diamond at the top.
The band itself is straight and very slightly domed. It rises up slightly at the top to meet the sides of the center setting at about the same point as the lower tip of the main diamond, while a bridge piece breaks off from the inner margin to continue along the band’s original curvature to pass below the main setting. After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
