Platinum Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring
Item #104174 $3,466 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
To get things started, you can stop by either of our showrooms in Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA in person, or you can reach out to us through our website. We’ll help you modify this piece on its own, and we can also guide you through the process of creating a matching wedding band to complete the set.
Center Setting
The only diamond in this ring is one carat and round brilliant cut. It’s held in a four-prong setting made of 18k white gold that, from the top, looks to have a standard layout. The origin of the prongs, however, and the path they take to reach the top are small details that add greatly to the elegance and intricacy of this piece. Diamond Engagement Rings
Directly below the center setting is a bridge piece formed by strands extending from either side of the inner margin of the shank shoulders. These two strands wrap around each other twice when they meet in the center, forming a swirl design that can be seen on each ring front. As the strands extend up beyond this swirl, they each split, with the resulting four strands transitioning into the prongs of the main setting. Solitaire Engagement Rings
Customization Options
If you’re interested in customizing this ring, you may want to begin by choosing a unique stone for the center. Even if you want to stick with a diamond, you can choose a different shape such as a cushion, princess cut or oval. You may also decide to go with a pink or chocolate diamond rather than the more traditional white, or you could select a sapphire in any of a wide range of colors. Changing to a different type of metal is also worth exploring, as is adding some custom hand engraving on the band.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
