Three-stone Setting
The centerpiece of this ring is a 1.90 carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s held in place by four talon prongs made of 18k white gold, and the way the points of these prongs curl up over the diamond adds a touch of glamour and a subtle contrast with the perfectly round shape of the stone. On either side of the center, a smaller round diamond is held in a three-prong setting, with two of the prongs close to the larger diamond and the third in line with the band. The two stones together total 0.33 carats, giving them enough size to balance out the center nicely without taking away from its impressive presentation.
Customization Options
Customizing a ring like this could involve choosing a different shape for the center, or it may mean switching the types of stones used in the side positions. For instance, you could choose a cushion shaped diamond to occupy the main spot in the setting and then use round pink diamonds on either side to bring some extra romantic flare to the piece.
