You can begin the process by visiting our Bellevue, WA or Seattle, WA showroom in person, or you can reach out to us through our website. We'll explain how we approach each custom design project, learn as much as we can about the type of piece you want to create, and we'll then put together a digital model of your unique design that we can share with you online. You can request revisions to these digital models as many times as you'd like, and we won't put anything into production until you're sure it's perfect in every way.
Center Topaz
The largest gemstone in this ring is a 0.75 carat emerald cut blue topaz, and it's framed beautifully by the bezel setting made from 14k white gold that secures it in place. The stone is oriented to lie lengthwise in line with the band, and that helps enhance the contemporary overtones for the design. That positioning also helps the stone appear larger, and the contrast between the rich blue of the topaz and the silvery shine of the metal works to enhance the beauty of both elements. Fashion Rings
Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band is narrow and straight all the way around, and small round diamonds line the shank shoulders about one third of the way down each side. These lines of diamonds originate right up against the edge of the bezel setting holding the topaz, and the 14 accent stones are all split prong set to introduce a hint of classical flair to the design.

Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
