At the top of this ring, a round, checkerboard cut olive quartz sits in a talon prong setting made of 18k white gold. The prongs curl up over the girdle of the quartz, with their points providing a nice contrast to the perfectly round stone. The rich color of the stone also stands out next to the silvery shine of the metal, and that relationship is only enhanced by the halo of white diamonds that encircle the center setting. The diamonds in this halo are all round, and each is held in its own white gold bezel setting. These settings line up side by side to form a perfect circle around the lower portion of the stone, while the milgrain beading that lines each provides extra definition and a finished look. Band Design and Diamond Accents
The band of the ring is made from 18k rose gold, and its two separate strands lie together across the bottom before splitting about a quarter of the way up each side. From that point, they angle away from each other before curving back in to cross over, and they then extend outward to encircle the entire center setting.
Split prong set diamond accents begin on each strand about half-way up, and these continue all the way across the top of the ring as well. That creates almost a double halo effect, as the split strands wrap around the outside of the main halo.
