This elegant men’s wedding ring features a broad platinum band with a polished yellow gold rail on one side. It was created for a client from Issaquah, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom to find the perfect inspiration for his custom design. Once we knew what he was looking for, we generated a high-quality CAD model of his piece, and he asked to examine a wax model to make absolutely sure he loved it before giving approval to move into production. Two-tone Band
The main portion of this piece is the platinum band, and it spans nearly the entire 8mm width of the ring. It features a brushed finish for a nice matte look, and it sits up a bit above the 18k yellow gold rail that runs along one side. This rail is polished, with a warm color that contrasts perfectly with the silvery platinum and helps to enhance the beauty of each.
Contrasting Finishes and Customization
The use of different finishes on the two sections of this ring emphasizes the separation between them, and it brings a subtle complexity to the design as well. You may even want to keep the same finish across the entire piece, or you could switch the placement of the finishes by brushing the rail and polishing the platinum section. A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
