Description
With six small diamonds set in a recessed space, and a hammered, oxidized finish on the outside of the squared band, this men’s wedding ring makes a strong personal statement. It was created for a client from Renton, WA, who reached out to us online to share a design she liked and that she hoped we could help her customize for her fiancé.

Diamond Accents
The six diamonds in this ring are all round and bright cut set. They’re also placed in an organically-shaped recessed area, which allows them to add some sparkle without taking over the design.
Hammered Oxidized Finish
The entire outside of the piece features a hammered finish, and the darkened areas are the result of oxidation of the sterling silver that makes up the body of the ring. This combination helps highlight the unique and asymmetrical texture that the hammered finish creates, and it also makes the sudden appearance of the diamonds in the center that much more dramatic.
Additionally, the fronts of the ring are brushed for a clean, smooth look that contrasts nicely with the more complicated top of the band. The ring is also squared slightly, which was another revision the client requested, as her inspiration piece was round.

Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
