Band Design
Two grooves run all the way around the band, creating a wider center section bordered by narrower rails on the outside. At the top of the band, a cross shape spans the entire width of the ring, and it is offset from the rest of the piece by small gaps on the sides. The pieces of the cross are as wide as the center section of the band, giving the ring a nice balance and symmetry.
The cross itself went through several iterations during the design process. It began as a variant of the Saint George’s cross, but after viewing several different ring options using this shape, the client opted for the more squared version seen here.
Contrasting Finishes
The entire band including the cross is made of 18k yellow gold, and so contrasting finishes were used to further highlight the differences between the sections. The center section has a brushed finish for a nice matte effect, while the rails and cross are polished.

After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
