Bezel Set Diamonds
There are four princess cut diamonds arranged evenly around this band, and they are each bezel set in platinum. They bring plenty of sparkle to the piece, while the use of a silvery metal for the band helps keep them from dominating the design.
Including diamonds like this in a men’s band is a great way to add some glamour without making the piece too flashy, and it also allows you to create a connection to the women’s rings that make up the rest of the wedding set, as they often use diamonds as well.
If you were looking to customize this piece, one option might be to use a different type of gemstone, particularly if you’d like to introduce some contrast. Sapphires are an excellent choice, as they come in a variety of colors. Or you can simply draw from the women’s rings and use whatever gemstones are found there.
Band Design
A narrow groove runs all the way around this ring, and each of the diamonds bisect it. On either side of the groove, the band continues out flat until it gets close to the edge, at which point it angles down to create beveled rails. These subtle changes in the surface help give the ring character and contribute to its contemporary flair.
Contrasting Finishes
The groove and rails of this ring are polished, as is the top of the bezel settings. The main portion of the band, however, is brushed, and this contrast in finishes helps highlight the different sections of the piece.
