This stunning men’s wedding ring features channel set black diamonds running 3/4 of the way around the yellow gold band, with hand engraving on the fronts. It was created as part of a custom set for clients from Seattle, WA, who worked with us online and at our Bellevue, WA location to ensure we got every detail just right.

Black Diamonds
Diamonds are a traditional choice for wedding bands due to their associations with romance, love, and enduring beauty. Black diamonds add undertones of certainty and passion as well, making them a great choice for a ring like this.
The diamonds included here are princess cut and channel set, which keeps them flush with the rest of the band so as not to alter the profile of the ring at all. Their rich color also contrasts nicely with the warmth of the yellow gold to create a classic look and feel.
Squared Shank
The bottoms of this shank are slightly squared in what is also known as a Euro shank design. This helps keep the ring from spinning on your finger when worn, and it also adds a more masculine air to the piece.
The fronts of the shank are engraved with a coiled rope pattern that adds an extra texture to the ring. The brushed finish also helps accentuate the sparkle of the diamonds, creating a nice contrast in textures as well as colors.

While these clients were local, and so could come into our showroom to go over their project in person, our custom design process is set up to work exclusively online as well. That’s made possible in large part to the advanced 3D imaging technology we use on every custom project to create detailed proofs of the piece ahead of time.
Before we ever put anything into production, we’ll have you review these images to ensure every detail is just right. If you’d like to make adjustments, we’ll work them in and send you new proofs to look at. And we’ll keep doing this for as long as it takes to make sure you’re completely satisfied with the ring or other custom piece of jewelry we’re creating for you.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
Lifetime warranty and care

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
