Milgrained Grooves
The surface of this ring is broken by two parallel grooves that run all the way around the band not far from the outer edges. These are lined with milgrain beading, which helps give the piece its classic character. The coupling of the grooves and the milgrain keeps the surface of the ring smooth while allowing the texture to show through to create a subtle yet distinctive style. Men’s Custom Wedding Bands
Band Width
This band is 6mm wide, which is average to narrow for a men’s wedding ring. If you’re not sure what width you prefer, it’s a good idea to try on some different pieces, either in our Bellevue, WA showroom or in your local jewelry store if you don’t live in the area. Of course, the overall width will impact the appearance of the ring somewhat, but the real determining factor is what’s most comfortable for you, and the proportions of other features can then be adjusted accordingly to help you get the look you’re after.
Finish Options
The milgrained section of this ring is polished, while the remainder of the band has a brushed finish. These contrasting surfaces help highlight the elegant detail of the milgrain and the separation between the sections. If you’re interested in a slightly different look, however, you could go with a uniform finish across the entire piece, or you could substitute sandblasted for brushed to create a slightly rougher matte texture.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
