Men's Mokume Half Round Band
Item #100523Men's Wedding Band Description
For every custom project we take on, we create high-quality CAD models of the piece as we propose to build it. We’ll share these with you through the online workroom we set up to manage your project, and you can request as many revisions and adjustments to the design as you’d like until you’re sure it’s perfect.
Band Design
The soft curve of the top of this band is considered a half round, and it gives the ring an elegant feel with a bit of classical flair. The interior surface of the ring is slightly domed as well, and this is referred to as a comfort fit design. We can make this for you in a variety of widths as well, depending on your personal tastes.
If you’re not sure exactly how wide you’d like your ring to be, the best thing to do is visit our showroom or your local jeweler to try on some different options and see what’s most comfortable. The typical range for men’s wedding rings is between 6mm and 9mm, and we can accommodate whatever you prefer.
Mokume Gane
The lovely organic patterns displayed in this piece are a product of the way the 14k palladium white gold and sterling silver that make up the ring were combined. To do this, we use a technique developed in Japan several hundred years ago which involves layering thin sheets of various metals together and forging them in a specific way. This process is called mokume gane, and no two rings made using this technique are ever exactly the same. Mokume Jewelry
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.
Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
