If you’re ready to begin work on your own unique design, you can reach out to us through our website or stop by our Bellevue or Seattle, WA showrooms in person. We’ll go over your vision for your design, taking into account any inspiration pieces and style or feature preferences. We’ll then use that information to develop a model of your piece in CAD as we propose to make it, and you can request modifications to these digital models as many times as you’d like until you’re sure every detail is perfect. Diamonds and Sapphires
The 18 diamonds in this ring are all round and bright cut set in 18k white gold. They’re arranged in groups of two that extend lengthwise across the band, serving as dividers between the sections of blue sapphires that make up the majority of the piece. These sapphires are also round, but they’re channel set, and there are 36 of them in all, combining to total 0.21 carats.
Unlike the diamonds, the sapphires are arranged in a row that sits inline with the band. There are four of them in each section, with the diamond sections on either side providing a lovely color contrast as well as a somewhat dramatic break from the clean line of the band. For instance, you could begin by choosing a different combination of gemstones, with many different color options in both sapphire and diamond varieties. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
