Description
This beautiful engagement ring features a cushion shaped diamond, prong set in platinum and surrounded by a halo of split prong set diamonds. It was created for a couple from Renton, WA as part of a custom wedding set. This set included a matching wedding band as well, and making both together allowed us to ensure a perfect alignment in terms of features and fit.

The clients had actually previously purchased an engagement ring from us, but after that they received a gift of a much larger diamond, and so they wanted to build the new stone into their rings. They also wanted to use all of the accent stones they had from their first set, and so we incorporated those into the design as well. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Center Diamond and Halo
At the center of this ring is a 3.00 carat cushion cut diamond, and it’s cradled in four platinum prongs. This diamond was provided by the clients as it was received as a gift, and their initial thought was to work it into their existing engagement ring design. It was so much larger than the diamond in that first ring, though, that the clients became concerned that the new piece would become too bulky.
To help avoid this issue, the clients chose to move away from their original engagement ring design, which included a split shank and accent diamonds on the band. Instead, they opted for this straight, narrow band, and they had us work the additional mele diamonds into a new wedding ring design to complete the set. Halo Engagement Rings

Customize
Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.
Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.
3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
