The custom design process allows you to create a completely custom ring without the designer price tag. Every ring is created individually, so you are able to choose everything about your ring, from the diamond and gemstone grades to the symbolic elements and intricate angles. You can be as involved as you want: bring us detailed inspiration photos, or let us take the reins.
Cushion Cut Diamond
The only diamond on this ring is a 1.25 carat cushion cut diamond. This cut features a square shape but with rounded corners. Solitaire Design
With only one diamond in the setting, this ring is a solitaire. The polished yellow gold of the setting features graceful cathedral arms leading up to the center stone with elegant curves flowing to the traditional prongs. Diamond Engagement Rings
Customization
This ring can be customized in many different ways. Adding hand engraving to the shank will immediately transform to a vintage aesthetic. Alternatively, adding a peekaboo diamond to the fronts of the ring will give a touch of surprise sparkle. You could also add a peekaboo birthstone for a pop of color and symbolic element.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
