Description
This stunning engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond in a six prong platinum setting, accented with diamonds, milgrain, and filigree on the wrapped shank below. It’s a design we developed as a custom order for a client, and the dynamic movement the wrapped shank creates brings a decidedly contemporary flair to the piece. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

Center Setting
At the top of this ring sits a one carat round brilliant cut diamond. It’s cradled beautifully in a six prong setting that highlights the stone’s perfect shape, and that rises up out of the center of the swirl created by the movement of the wrapped ends of the shank as they curl back towards each other. The prongs themselves originate on the cross piece that links the two sides of the shank, providing structural as well as visual stability to the design. Diamond Engagement Rings
Band Design
The band begins as a narrow, straight piece, but it begins to angle to the left at about the half-way mark. This curve only increases as it nears the top of the ring, opening out enough to wrap around the large diamond at the center before curling back sharply to cross below the main setting.
While the top of the band stays as one piece all the way to the top, a thinner strand breaks off from the bottom at about the same point where the curve begins. This diverges increasingly from the larger top portion of the shank, eventually opening up a space below the shank shoulders large enough to be filled with a lovely, organic filigree design. This perfectly complements the swirling movement of the band, helping to give the design an intricate balance and grace.
Diamond and Milgrain Accents
Bright cut set diamond accents run all along each shank shoulder, ending right at the same point where the curve begins. These are lined with milgrain beading to help intensify the vintage overtones of the piece, and the milgrain is worked into the filigree in precisely-chosen spots as well to help tie all elements of the piece together.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.
Design and estimate
The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
