While the custom design process usually takes 7-8 weeks to complete, we do our best to accommodate shorter time frames due to extenuating circumstances if at all possible. The relative simplicity of this design, coupled with the client’s prompt feedback to our CAD proofs, allowed us to create this piece for him in less than a week after he approved the design so he could still surprise his girlfriend the way he had been planning on a trip they were taking together. Diamond Engagement Rings
Floral Center
This ring centers on a 0.70 carat round brilliant cut diamond with six 14k white gold prongs holding it in place. It’s surrounded by a halo of white gold in the shape of flower petals which gives the whole center setting the appearance of a flower perched atop the band.
This floral theme continues down to the shoulders of the shank as well, where leaf and vine shapes curl smoothly up towards the center setting. The result is a decidedly organic design with a bit of vintage flair, and it allowed the client to incorporate the traditional diamond while still putting his own unique twist on it.
Amethyst Accents
Three round amethyst accent stones are worked into the leaf and vine pattern on each side of the center setting. Two of these are bezel set, while the third is bright cut set, and they bring just the right amount of color to the piece. They reinforce the floral nature of the design, while also providing a nice contrast to the brilliant white of the diamond at the top.
