Description
This lovely engagement ring features a round brilliant cut diamond set in a floral halo with amethyst accents, all in an organic white gold shank. It was developed for a client from Issaquah, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom for an initial consultation before finalizing the details of his project online.

While the custom design process usually takes 7-8 weeks to complete, we do our best to accommodate shorter time frames due to extenuating circumstances if at all possible. The relative simplicity of this design, coupled with the client’s prompt feedback to our CAD proofs, allowed us to create this piece for him in less than a week after he approved the design so he could still surprise his girlfriend the way he had been planning on a trip they were taking together. Diamond Engagement Rings
Floral Center
This ring centers on a 0.70 carat round brilliant cut diamond with six 14k white gold prongs holding it in place. It’s surrounded by a halo of white gold in the shape of flower petals which gives the whole center setting the appearance of a flower perched atop the band.
This floral theme continues down to the shoulders of the shank as well, where leaf and vine shapes curl smoothly up towards the center setting. The result is a decidedly organic design with a bit of vintage flair, and it allowed the client to incorporate the traditional diamond while still putting his own unique twist on it.
Amethyst Accents
Three round amethyst accent stones are worked into the leaf and vine pattern on each side of the center setting. Two of these are bezel set, while the third is bright cut set, and they bring just the right amount of color to the piece. They reinforce the floral nature of the design, while also providing a nice contrast to the brilliant white of the diamond at the top.
Diamond Selection
Choosing a diamond for your engagement ring can be an overwhelming process, especially if you aren’t familiar with the language used to describe these stones. We’ve put together a brief online guide to help you better understand the terminology and how each element impacts the value of the stone, and we’re always glad to answer your questions personally as well.
When it comes time to select the diamond for your ring, we’re happy to do it for you based on the general characteristics you want it to have. Or you can purchase your own separately and provide it for us to set. Even if we source the diamond for you, we’ll give you the final say by setting up a time for you to come in and view the various options before we set it so you can be sure the stone going into your ring is perfect in every way.
