On this visit, they found some inspiration pieces they wanted to customize, and we designed both the engagement ring and wedding band at the same time. The clients also provided the center diamond and the sapphires used in the engagement ring, and so we were able to build their custom set to highlight the beauty of this gorgeous stone.
Three-stone Setting
At the top of this ring, a round brilliant cut diamond is prong set in platinum, and it’s flanked on either side by a round blue sapphire. The two sapphires together total 0.72 carats, and all three stones are perched atop a trellis setting that is formed by the intertwining of their prongs on the way up to the top. The trellis structure gives a lovely and delicate feel to the ring, and it positions the stones at the perfect angle to flow inline with the band. The center diamond, along with the sapphires, were provided by the clients, introducing even more special meaning to an already significant piece. Sapphire Engagement Rings
Diamond Accents
There are two rows of round bright cut set diamonds running down each shank shoulder. This was a feature the clients knew they wanted from the beginning of the process, but they weren’t completely satisfied with the layout in our initial set of CAD proofs. We made some modifications to the models based on their feedback, and they were very happy with the end result of this process.
