Description

This dazzling engagement ring features a square cut diamond prong set in platinum, with pave set diamond accents on the split shank. It was created for a client from Issaquah, WA, who came into our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to discuss the project and get the custom design process underway.

Center Setting

At the top of this ring sits a two carat square cut diamond in a four prong platinum setting. The stone exhibits a stunning fire, and its uncommon shape helps set the tone for the rest of the piece. This large diamond is also accented by a band of bright cut set diamonds that wraps around the lower part of the stone, leaving three diamonds facing out between each of the prongs.Diamond Engagement Rings

Band Design and Diamond Accents

The band is flat and relatively narrow at the bottom, but it widens significantly by the time it reaches the mid-point. It’s here that the split begins as well, with strands on each side continuing up on their own to form the prongs holding the main diamond.
Between these, a center band continues the original curvature of the ring, running directly underneath the center setting and connecting in the same spot on the other side. This band is pave set with round diamond accents, which provide a lovely sparkle and some glamorous flair to the design.

Customizing Your Ring

There are many ways you can go about putting your individual mark on this ring. For instance, you could use a different type of gemstone, such as a colored sapphire or pink diamond, as the center. This gives you the opportunity to include something personal, like your partner’s eye color or birthstone, and it would bring a beautiful contrast to the piece as well.

No matter what you decide, though, our experts will work with you every step of the way. We can even grow a wax model of our design for you to view and inspect before you give your final approval to move into production.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support

Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
