Custom Aquamarine And White Sapphire Engagement Ring

Engagement Ring Description

This elegant engagement ring features a pear shaped aquamarine bezel set in white gold, accented by a small round sapphire that’s also bezel set, both of which are perched atop a delicate white gold band. It was created as a custom piece for a client from Seattle, WA, who originally reached out to us online to share her inspiration and learn more about the custom design process. After we had gathered enough information about the type and style of ring she was looking for, we developed a unique design for her in CAD. She viewed these proofs through the online workroom we set up to manage her project, and she came into our Bellevue, WA showroom in person to examine a wax model before giving her final approval to move things into production.

Aquamarine Center

The centerpiece of this ring is a 0.69 carat pear shaped aquamarine, and it’s securely held in a 14k white gold bezel setting. The delicate blue of the aquamarine stands out thanks to the contrast with the brilliant white metal surrounding it, and the bezel setting highlights the elegant lines of the stone as well. Sapphire Accent and Band Design

The band of this ring is straight most of the way around, but it curves in a bit as it reaches the top to accommodate the bottom of the pear shaped aquamarine. The two sides of the band actually come to a point directly below the larger stone, and it’s at this spot that a smaller round white sapphire is also bezel set in white gold. The type of stone was chosen by the client because of the special personal meaning it held for her. Customization Options

Customizing a ring like this might involve choosing a different combination of gemstones, and it could also include switching to a different color metal. Sapphires and diamonds are both available in a wide range of colors, enabling you to integrate a special symbol into your piece. Alternately, you could choose a different shape for one or both of the stones in the ring, or you could experiment with different setting styles until you find just the right combination to achieve the look you’re after.
