Custom Blue Sapphire And Mokume Wedding Ring
Item #100658 $10,113 Price does not include center stoneEngagement Ring Description
Center Sapphire
The main stone in this ring is an oval blue sapphire measuring just over one and a half carats. It’s tension set lengthwise in the unplated white gold band, which allows it to stay within the margins of the shank and stay protected while still offering clear views from all angles.
The rich blue of the sapphire contrasts beautifully with the champagne color of the white gold band, and their juxtaposition helps to highlight the stone even though its surface sits flush with the top of the shank. Sapphires are an excellent option for wedding and engagement rings, as they are quite hard and come in a wide variety of colors. Sapphire Engagement Rings
Mokume Inlay
The shoulders of the tapered shank are inlaid with a lovely mokume gane design that matches the same feature on the companion men’s band. The beautiful organic patterns seen in this area are the result of the mokume production process, in which our artisans twist and then forge several thin sheets of different types of metal together.
The mokume in this piece is made from 14k rose gold, 14k palladium white gold, and sterling silver, and the segment included narrows slightly as it moves away from the center to follow the contours of the tapered shank. Mokume Jewelry
Custom Wedding Sets
Although their overall design is quite different, the men’s and women’s bands in this set share the mokume inlay, and this creates a meaningful link between them. Having custom wedding sets like this created for you is a special way to add an extra connection between yours and your partner’s piece. So whether you’d like to go in the direction these clients did or you have other ideas about the type of matching features you want in your rings, our experts are here to help make your vision a reality.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
