Custom Turquoise And Champagne Diamond Engagement Ring

Engagement Ring Description

This stunning engagement ring features an emerald cut turquoise prong set atop an ornate rose gold shank, accented with champagne diamonds, filigree, and custom hand engraving. It was created for a client from Bremerton, WA, who had a clear idea of the types of features he wanted to combine in the ring for his fiancee-to-be. Design Your Own Engagement Ring

We used the inspiration pieces he shared with us to develop a concept sketch of a unique custom ring. He loved it and immediately requested that we move into the CAD phase of the production process.

Turquoise Center

The centerpiece of this ring is a 9 carat emerald cut turquoise. It’s held in place by four rose gold prongs that curl elegantly over its softly truncated corners, and its smooth, milky blue color contrasts perfectly with the warm tones of the metal.

The client specifically requested a turquoise center stone, as he knew that was what his girlfriend wanted. The type of stone he chose is what’s known as a Sleeping Beauty turquoise due to its lack of veining. The other type of turquoise exhibits more black veins running across the surface, and the decision on which to use is entirely one of personal preference. One of a Kind Engagement Rings

Diamond Accents and Filigree

Three champagne diamonds sit on each side of the center stone, and they’re all round and bezel set in 18k rose gold. The closeness in color between the metal and diamonds creates a subtle contrast that helps highlight the beauty of each. The sparkle of the diamonds stands out much more than their color does, and this only helps to enhance the elegant lines of the design. Rose Gold Engagement Rings

The metal involved in the diamond settings is also part of a heart-shaped filigree that forms the top of the shank, and its rounded edges meet the side of the turquoise about half way to the top. Complementary scroll filigree fills the space below the center setting, as well as below the heart-shapes themselves to complete the look.

Custom Hand Engraving

Below the filigree on both the top and fronts of the band, an elegant hand-engraved pattern runs down to about the three-quarter point. This features organic overtones, with swirling lines that work well with the curls of the filigree to unite the various areas of the ring.
