This exquisite engagement ring features a single round brilliant cut diamond in a four prong white gold setting atop a two-tone wrapped band. It’s a lovely example of the ways you can introduce unique design details into the classic solitaire style, and it can prove to be the perfect inspiration for your own custom design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
If you’re ready to learn more about our custom design process, you can stop by our Bellevue, WA showroom in person, or you can reach out to our team online. We’ll take all the information you can give us about the type of ring you’re envisioning, and we’ll show you any number of sample pieces as well if you’re not sure exactly what you’re after. After that initial conversation, we’ll put together a set of CAD proofs of your unique piece, and you can request any modifications you’d like to these until you’re sure they’re perfect in every way.
The lone gemstone in this ring is a one carat round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s cradled securely in a four prong white gold setting. The prongs angle downward towards the band, following roughly the lines of the diamond, until they meet just below the base of the stone and on top of the main portion of the band.
Solitaire engagement rings have long been a traditional favorite, and this is a lovely example of the design. However, there are many ways to incorporate a solitaire into a unique piece, as this ring clearly demonstrates. A solitaire also doesn’t have to use a diamond, as sapphires, rubies, and other gemstones can be used in this position as well. One of a Kind Engagement Rings
Two-tone Band Design
The majority of the band of this ring is made from 14k rose gold, and it widens gradually moving up from the bottom on both sides. A gentle wave-like movement causes the band to curve out slightly in one direction and back in the other as it continues all the way around below the center setting, and this flows smoothly with the wrapped white gold accents that emerge on the upper part of the ring. Rose Gold Engagement Rings
The white gold first appears around the mid-point on each side, and it widens as the band nears the top, eventually angling out more dramatically than the rose gold on the other side to allow it to wrap around one side of the base of the main setting. This arrangement creates a swirling effect that gives the ring a bit of an organic feel, and the contrast between the metals highlights the movement as well.
