He worked with our design team online to iron out all of the details of the ring he wanted us to create, and we were able to include all of the elements that were important to him.
Three-stone Setting
The three-stone setting at the center of this ring includes a marquise shaped brilliant cut diamond, flanked on either side by a pear shaped golden topaz. The topaz were specifically selected by the client for their color, which was one of the modifications he made to our original design. They create a nice contrast with the sparkling white of the diamond, and they also complement the warm glow of the yellow gold used to make the filigree quite nicely.
Filigree and Engraving
The shank actually splits near the bottom of the band, and the two pieces curve out away from each other before reattaching as they reach the center setting. The leaf-shaped hole this creates is filled with a lovely yellow gold filigree that includes leaf shapes and scrolls to give the ring a delicate organic feel. Small scroll filigrees are also tucked under the golden topaz in the main setting. Diamond Engagement Rings
Covering the rest of the Euro shank is beautiful hand engraving that echoes the organic elements that the filigree introduces, and that reinforces the overall classical feel of the piece. This detail is added as the final step in the production process by our skilled craftsmen, which enables us to recreate all kinds of patterns and designs. So if there's something of special significance to you that you'd like to see included in your ring, we can make it happen.
A Personal Touch
In addition to hand engraving, there are other ways to include elements with special meaning to you as a couple. In this ring, for instance, there are two cabochon white opals flush set in the bottom corners of the shank. This particular type of stone held special meaning for our client, and adding it to their ring greatly enhanced the personal nature of the design. Design Your Own Engagement Ring
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
