He also had the two trillion diamonds already, as they had been passed down through his family, and so he wanted to be sure we could incorporate them into a design that would also match his personal style. After seeing some example pieces, he pointed out the types of features he liked, and we built our models based on that information. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
Flush Set Diamonds
All three diamonds in this piece are flush set in platinum, and this helps to keep the profile of the ring low. That low profile is in keeping with the general style of men’s wedding bands and it also helps keep the stones protected from the rigors of everyday wear. The center diamond is a 1.01 carat radiant cut stone, while the two side diamonds are the trillions provided by the client and totaling 0.96 carats all together.
There are many ways to include gemstones in a men’s wedding band, and this is just one example. In general, the most popular gems to fill this role are diamonds, as they are likely present in the bride’s rings as well.
However, many other types of gems can be used, with sapphires being the most commonly used alternative. These can also be worked into the design in many different ways, including tucked on the fronts of the band, and even flush set on the inside for a hidden detail only you and your partner know about.
Band Design
While the layout of the stones in this ring is loosely based on the example ring that we showed the client, he preferred a more rounded band. The ring is 7.5mm wide at its widest point, and it tapers slightly as it moves away from the main setting. It also features a brushed finish all the way around for a nice matte effect that really helps the diamonds stand out.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
