This elegant pendant features a round brilliant cut diamond in a bezel setting that attaches directly to a cable chain. It was created for a client from Issaquah, WA, who visited our Bellevue, WA showroom personally to begin the custom design process. They had a clear idea about what they were looking for, and our team made sure everything turned out perfect down to the very last detail.

Pendant Design
The centerpiece of this pendant is a 0.35 carat diamond that’s round brilliant cut. It’s encircled in a bezel setting that highlights its perfectly round shape.
This minimalist approach also informed the way we attached the chain to the pendant. Small loops of metal at two o’clock and ten o’clock on the sides of the setting hook directly onto the chain, giving the appearance that the chain passes straight through the body of the pendant and emerges on the other side. This eliminates the need for any sort of bale or other attachment, keeping the lone diamond as the central feature in the piece.
Customization Options
If you are interested in customizing this design, there are many ways to go about it. You could keep the general outline the same and simply substitute a favorite colored gemstone in place of the diamond. Or you could use a colored metal like rose or yellow gold to bring some vintage flair. Design Your Own Jewelry
A delicate border of milgrain beading around the top of the bezel setting is another possibility, as is using a different type of setting all together. Changing the shape of the diamond to an oval or marquise is also a small change that would dramatically change the character of the piece. Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
