Description
This gorgeous pendant features two pear-shaped loops lined with small round diamonds, with a round Tahitian pearl suspended in the center. The design was developed for a client from Edmonds, WA, who purchased the pearl initially and then asked us to design the perfect piece to display it.

Pendant Design
The shape and proportions of this pendant are all about weight and balance, and the right mix is perfectly achieved thanks to the way the loops curve gracefully around the pearl. The length of the piece holding the pearl is also an important part of the equation, and the proportions are exactly in line with the rest of the piece.
Tying everything together is the bale at the top, which is made of two smaller loops lined with diamonds. These mirror the larger loops of the body of the piece, and they also allow the chain to pass through, making it possible for the client to use the pendant with different chains, which was something that was very important to her.
Pearl and Diamonds
The pearl itself is a 14mm AAA quality Tahitian pearl, and it exhibits a wonderful, complex mix of colors. It is primarily black, but the sheen on its surface features hints of a diverse array that includes pink, green, gold, bronze, and blue.
In contrast, the diamonds used to accent it sparkle beautifully in their bright cut settings, and this adds dramatic light to the design. Their brilliant white perfectly balances the deep, rich color of the pearl, and that only reinforces the beauty of the overall proportions and layout of the pendant.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
