Sapphires and Diamonds
Ten blue sapphires run across the top of this ring, and all of them are princess cut and channel set. Their rich color contrasts wonderfully with the white gold and diamonds that make up the rest of the ring, and their square shape, coupled with the channel setting gives the appearance of an unbroken band of blue. On either side of the sapphires, round bright cut set diamonds bring their stunning sparkle to this piece, and they provide the perfect contrast in terms of both shape and color. They’re also lined with milgrain beading, and this, coupled with the bright cut setting style, helps lend some vintage flair to the otherwise contemporary design.
Band Design
The band itself is wide across the top to accommodate all of the gemstones. These extend to the mid-point on either side, and once they stop, the band tapers down until it’s about half of its original width at the bottom. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
