It was created as a custom order for a client from Snohomish, WA, and he worked with our designers both online and in our Bellevue, WA location to ensure we got every detail exactly right.

Diamond Solitaire
A diamond solitaire is an eternally popular choice for an engagement ring, and this one is a lovely contemporary variation on the theme. The diamond at the center is a round brilliant cut, and the four prong setting holding it rises up from a point in the center of the top of the band. It opens up to cradle the diamond at its widest point and with prongs only as large as they need to be to hold the stone securely. Diamond Engagement Rings
The openness of this setting and the way it suspends the diamond above the band really helps emphasize the beauty of the stone by making its shine visible from every side. The angles of the prongs in the setting also mirror the angle of the taper in the shank, which creates a satisfying balance for the ring when viewed from the side.

The platinum shank is widest at the top where the diamond setting originates. It gently tapers down towards the bottom of the ring, and the brushed finish really shows off the metal’s lovely silver color. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
