Center Setting and Halo

The centerpiece of this ring is a large, round brilliant cut diamond, and it’s bezel set in 14k white gold. The bezel setting creates a lovely frame for the stone, simultaneously highlighting its perfectly circular shape and providing protection from the hazards of everyday wear. The silvery shine of the white gold only reinforces the brilliant white sparkle of the diamond, and the fact that the setting is open on the bottom ensures that plenty of light can reach the center stone, helping to increase its shine. Diamond Engagement Rings

Slightly below the level of the bezel setting, a halo of split prong set diamonds wraps around the center, following the curves of the larger stone precisely and helping to increase the visual impact of the large center setting. The halo style has long been a popular one, and its use here brings some classical overtones into the mix. Halo Engagement Rings

Band Design and Diamond Accents

The band is made of 14k white gold, and it’s straight and narrow all the way around. Split prong set diamond accents line the shank shoulders beginning at the top where the band meets the halo and continuing down to close to the mid-point on either side.

These accents add a glamorous sparkle of their own, and they create a connection between the two sections of the ring. The narrowness of the band also helps to make the center setting appear even larger, and it works well with the split prong setting style of the accent diamonds to complete the classical look of the ring as a whole.

Customize

Use this design as a starting point for a custom piece.

Discuss the stones, metal, proportions, setting and finish with a designer, online or in our Seattle and Bellevue showrooms. You can bring reference photographs or your own stone for us to assess.

  1. Design and estimate

The initial design and estimate are free, with no obligation. Your designer discusses the materials, changes and budget with you before you commit.

  2. 3D design review

After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.

  3. Physical model

A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.

  4. Approval and production

The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.

Quality

Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.

Structure and support
The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
Diamond and gemstone selection
We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
Final inspection
Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.
