Custom Opal And Diamond Fashion Ring
Item #103456Fashion Ring Description
Center Setting
In the center of this ring, a 2.20 carat opal is cradled in four white gold prongs. These prongs meet the stone at the compass positions, which are also roughly the spots where the rounded corners of the stone lie. The stone is not symmetrical, however, causing the setting to be slightly asymmetrical also, and this works well with the twisted way the prongs emerge from the band to highlight the opal’s natural beauty. Diamond Accents and Band Design
The band is thick and flat across the bottom, widening slightly as it moves up the side, and then maintaining a consistent width from the mid-point almost all the way to the top. Near the center setting, the band splits, with two equal strands moving in opposite directions to form the prongs at the top and bottom of the stone.
A line of round diamonds is channel set up each shank shoulder, with the 14 diamonds total combining to weigh 0.46 carats. These lines of diamonds are set slightly to the side of the center, so that they continue straight up onto one of the strands after the split. Overall, these features combine to produce a decidedly contemporary design with plenty of dynamic movement and stunning contrasts.

Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
