Description
This elegant men’s wedding ring features a brushed center section bordered by beveled polished rails that run all the way around the band. It was created for a client from Kirkland, WA, who visited our Bellevue showroom personally to view some sample pieces and discuss the types of features he wanted to include in his piece.

Band Design
This band is approximately 6mm wide and made of platinum. The center portion is flat, while the rails on each side slope downward at about a 45-degree angle. This gives a subtle complexity to the ring design while still keeping it understated and classy overall. The inside of the band is slightly domed to create what is referred to as a comfort fit, and this is a standard practice on all pieces of fine custom jewelry we produce. Design Your Own Wedding Ring
Contrasting Finishes
To make the separation between the center portion and the rails clear, these areas feature contrasting finishes. The larger section is brushed, creating a nice matte effect, and the rails are polished. The smooth, shiny surface of the rails also helps the brushed texture stand out, thereby enhancing the beauty of the piece overall.

Having a custom wedding set created is a wonderful way to mark such a significant event in your life and relationship. Although women’s and men’s rings are usually quite different, it is always possible to work in some shared features or details that can unite the set. 3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
