14K Gold And Platinum Custom Men's Diamond And Mokume Wedding Band
Item #102009Men's Wedding Band Description
Mokume Gane
The lovely organic swirls in this inlay are produced through the use of a specialized forging technique first developed in Japan in the 1700s. It involves layering different types of metal together, and then combining them in a very specific way. It is a technique that requires a great deal of skill and experience to master, and fortunately our artisans, who work onsite in our Bellevue, WA location, can execute it flawlessly.
The mokume in this ring is a mixture of 14k rose gold, 14k yellow gold, 14k palladium white gold, and sterling silver, but you can choose a different combination of metals if you’d like. The types of metals used impact the color and nature of the resulting design, and we’re happy to show you examples of some options to help you decide which combination you like best. Mokume Gane Jewelry Gallery.
Diamond Accents
To give the ring a bit of sparkle, it also includes channel set round brilliant cut diamonds running around both fronts. These diamonds contrast nicely with the brushed and sandblasted finish of the top of the ring.
Band Width and Finish Options
This band can be made in several different widths to accommodate a range of finger sizes and personal preferences. It can also be customized to include a different combination of finishes on both the mokume and platinum portions of the top. For instance, you might choose to stick with the sandblasted finish on the mokume but switch to a high polish on the platinum rails for a more modern look.
Other customization possibilities include replacing all or some of the diamonds with a different gemstone, and changing the base metal of the band to something colored, such as yellow or rose gold. Our experts will help you explore all of these possibilities and more until you find exactly he combination that creates the ring you’ve been looking for.
Details
To reduce color fading, avoid friction against any surface. Avoid wearing your mokume ring during exercise, construction work, gardening, or other abrasive activities. When owning a mokume gane ring with oxidization, avoid chlorine or other similar chemicals as they eat away the patina.

Joseph Jewelry
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
