About Joseph Jewelry
Joseph Boukhalil, a master artisan, has 30-year experience in the jewelry business. Influenced and encouraged by an older cousin, Joseph was introduced to and mentored by a master goldsmith- jeweler. Joseph continued his training in the industry by working for a leading corporation in Indianapolis. For the next 5 years, he furthered his career in working for a prominent family-owned jewelry company.
In 1993, Joseph's brother, Danny, commenced his jewelry career. Joseph and Danny began to design and create fine jewelry for the eventual opening of their jewelry store. The desired location was found in the heart of Old Bellevue on Main Street.
In 1996, Joseph's Jewelry was established. Joseph continues to design using intellectual and intuitive concepts. Simplicity and elegance with quality craftsmanship are the hallmarks of Joseph's Jewelry.
Joseph personally oversees the complete operation of Joseph Jewelry and promotes a culture of excellence, urgency and superior customer service.
Danny is a co-owner and the Vice President at Joseph Jewelry. He commenced his jewelry career in 1993. He is responsible for the leadership and performance of Joseph Jewelry retail and production functions. He works cross-functionally with the design and production teams as well as vendors to ensure timely and quality production. He holds sales leadership responsibility as well as building and strengthening relationships with Joseph Jewelry clients, making sure they are 100% satisfied.
Ryan brings 8 years of graphic design experience to Joseph Jewelry. He studied fine art in school; however, his jewelry design talents were fostered directly under Joseph and Danny. He wears many hats from CAD design, working with our sales and production teams. He focuses on new development in the jewelry industry with emphasis on technology and jewelry design. He trains and support designers. Ryan creates CAD models from a given sketch/idea/images using 3D jewelry software packages. He handles and maintains machines producing jewelry models by using 3D printing technology. Ryan also handles all machine-engraving projects. He provides excellent customer service through collaboration with customers online and in-store: sales, design, materials, pricing, or other customer service related matters. His favorite pastimes are spending time with his two dogs and reading. Ryan enjoys the creative side of his job here at Joseph Jewelry the most.
Bonnie has several years of 3D jewelry design experience in Matrix and handles both designing jewelry and client relationships with ease. As one of Joseph Jewelry’s designers, Bonnie creates CAD models from a given sketch/idea/images using the latest in 3D jewelry software packages. Bonnie handles the operation of machines for producing jewelry models by using 3D printing technology. She provides excellent customer service through collaboration with clients online and in-store regarding their project. She reviews each of her client’s piece once cast or fabricated assuring each client’s vision becomes reality. Bonnie also oversees Joseph Jewelry’s on-time jewelry creation, managing client’s expectation and is highly committed to Joseph Jewelry’s 100% Customer Satisfaction Guarantee. Bonnie’s favorite pastimes are international travel and checking out local culture.
Gemstone Specialist and Quality Control Inspector
Michael is a seasoned Diamond and Color-Gems expert with in-depth knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and industry trends. He comes to Joseph Jewelry with more than 30 years of experience in Diamond & Gem identification, jewelry creation and Quality Control. Michael relocated from Chicago to Seattle in 2013 and joined our team as Joseph Jewelry Quality Control and Gem Identification Expert. Mike makes sure that each finished creation is according to clients’ vision, specifications & in accordance with Joseph Jewelry’s Quality Standards. Michael certifies and appraises Joseph Jewelry creations and collaborates with outside laboratories such as GIA and the Northwest Gemological Laboratory. He manages Joseph Jewelry shipments, domestic and international.
Michael bikes to work on most days and his favorite pastime is taking beach/lake walks with his wife and their dog, Gromit.
Pascale joined our team as Marketing Director in Nov 2012 after 10 years of service at World Vision, an International Non-Profit Organization focused on the well-being of children. She's a Dean's List graduate of the Alfred Lerner School’s MBA program at the University of Delaware. She also holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences from the University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Economic Sciences. Pascale’s responsibilities include the design and implementation of marketing campaigns. She develops customer satisfaction programs, promotional packages, and manages Joseph Jewelry events. Pascale loves international travel and has visited more than twenty countries, in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. She is fluent in English, French and Arabic, which comes in handy when collaborating with our overseas clients. She has a passion for people and a great appreciation for life and her loved ones.
Rudy joined our team in 2013 as Joseph Jewelry Workshop Manager. He started his jewelry career in 1992 as a Goldsmith based in Ontario, Canada to later take on management responsibilities with a fine Jewelry Manufacturer in New Jersey. Rudy relocated, with his lovely wife, to Seattle where he now manages the workshop operation at Joseph Jewelry. With his strong work ethics, passion and commitment to client satisfaction, Rudy makes sure that the workshop operation runs smoothly and in a timely fashion. As a master craftsman, he meticulously prepares casts ensuring a precise production, as well as, oversees the final polishing process in preparation for quality control. Rudy also handles the repairs at Joseph Jewelry and promotes a collaborative and energetic working environment.
Rudy and his wife are very excited about life in Washington state and discovering all the magnificent spots that the state has to offer.
Senior Jeweler and Master Hand-Engraver
Vesko brings to Joseph Jewelry more than 40 years of experience in jewelry creation and hand-engraving. His drawing talent qualified him to attend an arts and crafts college in Bulgaria where he discovered his passion for engraving and jewelry making. Vesko is a master at what he does. He has an intimate understanding of precious metals and amazing skills that he nurtured bringing his hand engravings to levels of extraordinary perfection. The work that Vesko performs is considered of museum-quality in our industry. His craftsmanship is second to none. Vesko also specializes in fabricating custom jewelry, casting, setting stones, laser welding, and repairs. Engraving metal is one of his favorite pastimes along with spending time with his wife, of course! Vesko also loves the relaxed atmosphere that is never boring at Joseph Jewelry, the team, and that each person is appreciated for their talents.
Hiep brings more than 21 years of jewelry making experience to Joseph Jewelry. He specializes in stone setting, jewelry fabrication, casting, engraving and Mokume Gane. Hiep started his career apprenticing with a master jeweler in Vietnam. He then opened his own business designing jewelry to sell in local shops. He has been practicing the art and craft of jewelry making in the United States since 2008. Hiep's enjoys making hand crafted jewelry. His favorite pastime is fishing.
Karlyn Bennett is a 2009 recipient of the prestigious Glazer's Camera Scholarship for her outstanding work ethic. She's a Dean's List graduate of the Commercial Photography program at The Art Institute of Seattle where she was admired for her clean and simple designs. She was also awarded Best Portfolio in Show upon graduation.
Karlyn performs a variety of image tasks including photographing jewelry, videography, and image retouching, maintaining color accuracy, image database management and properly optimized images for output. She works with the creative team to produce images for marketing and advertising. Quality standards and guidelines are established for all images to ensure consistent integrity of all Joseph Jewelry images.
Karlyn is so passionate about photography that it is her favorite pastime as well. She dreams of completing videography work, pet and food photography. Karlyn loves the collaborative, relaxed atmosphere here at Joseph Jewelry and the people that make up the team.
Dwayne studied computers, photography, and graphic design in school. He first discovered his passion for web development 15 years ago when his band needed a website. He has been developing websites ever since.
Dwayne is responsible for building and maintaining Joseph Jewelry's website – including layout, appearance, and function and collaborates closely with Joseph Jewelry Marketing Director in the design of marketing campaigns and strategies.
Dwayne's favorite pastimes are playing drums, skateboarding with his kiddos, practicing martial arts and play ping pong. Dwayne enjoys the relaxed atmosphere at Joseph Jewelry and our team of people.
