Blue Topaz Stud Earrings
Item #102664Earrings Description
Once we have a sense of the type of piece you’re looking to create, we’ll develop a model of your piece in CAD as we propose to make it. You can review the proofs of this design online through the dedicated workroom we set up to manage your project, and you can request any changes in this way as well. Only once you’re completely satisfied with our digital models will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production.
Blue Topaz Centers
The defining feature of these earrings are the large, round blue topaz that dominate the front of each piece. Put together, they total 1.90 carats, and their striking blue color contrasts wonderfully with the silvery shine of the 14k white gold they’re set in. The bezel settings holding the stones highlight the perfect curvature of their cut nicely while also keeping them well-protected and secure. Earrings
The arrangement of facets across the tops of the stones creates a distinctive pattern of dark and light squares that’s reminiscent of a checker board. This adds to the dynamic nature of the design, as the appearance of individual squares changes depending on the angle they’re viewed from.
Milgrain and Filigree
A line of milgrain beading runs around the top of each bezel setting, and it also continues down to the basket to outline the pattern of the filigree there. This small detail adds significantly to the vintage overtones of the design, and it introduces a subtle elegance as well.
Customizing This Design
Any Joseph Jewelry item can be customized or used as the starting point for a new custom design. The gemstones, metal, proportions, setting style, surface details, and overall profile can be adjusted to better match your preferences, style, and budget.
Every custom piece begins with a conversation about what you want to create and what matters most to you. You work one-on-one with a designer to refine the concept, review the design direction, and create a detailed 3D CAD image of the item before it is made.
After the design is approved, we can create a wax model so you can review the piece physically. This step helps you evaluate scale, proportions, shape, and overall presence before final production begins.
Once the wax model is approved, our jewelers craft the finished piece with attention to structure, finish, stone security, and long-term wear. Each adjustment is reviewed carefully so the final item feels intentional, balanced, and made specifically for you.
You do not need to have every detail figured out before starting. If you like this item but want to change the stone, metal, size, shape, width, engraving, or overall style, we can guide those decisions through the custom design process.
Quality & Craftsmanship
At Joseph Jewelry, quality begins with the structure. We follow strict design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support, setting security, and long-term durability. These details help ensure the item is substantial enough for everyday wear while still maintaining a refined appearance.
We do not design custom jewelry to be unnecessarily thin or fragile. If a setting, band, gallery, or accent detail needs more support, we address it before production begins. The goal is to protect the stones, preserve the shape of the ring, and create a piece that can be worn confidently over time.
Gemstone selection is also part of our quality process. We help choose the center stone, side stones, and melee diamonds used in each ring, reviewing them for cut, color, clarity, consistency, and how well they fit the design. Even when a ring is designed around a specific budget, we maintain careful standards for the materials and craftsmanship that determine the quality of the finished piece.
Before completion, each custom piece is reviewed for proportion, comfort, stone security, finishing, and long-term wear.
Care & Warranty
All Joseph Jewelry custom pieces are supported by our lifetime warranty. We also provide long-term care, including complimentary cleaning and regular inspection, so your jewelry can be maintained properly over time.
Routine inspection is especially valuable for pieces worn every day. It allows the setting, stones, and overall structure to be checked as the jewelry is worn.
