You can view the digital models we create of your design through the online workroom we set up to manage your project, and only once you’re completely satisfied with these will we turn things over to our expert artisans to begin production. Garnet Centers
The centerpieces of these earrings are round checkerboard cut garnets that together total 1.96 carats. Their deep red color is complemented nicely by the 14k rose gold they’re set in, and the checkerboard cut creates a distinctive pattern across the top of the stones. The garnets are bezel set, with the rose gold following the contours of the stones precisely, helping to highlight their elegant shape. Earrings
Filigree and Milgrain
Delicate milgrain beading lines the top of the bezel setting, adding a touch that reinforces the vintage themes of the piece. The back of the earrings are made up of a filigree basket that’s accented with milgrain as well as larger decorative beads. These details contribute to the overall aesthetic of the design, and they can be modified or removed as part of the custom design process to help you get exactly the look you’re after.
Customization Options
Another way you may choose to customize these earrings may involve using a different shape or size of garnet for the centers. Alternately, you can experiment with a different type of metal to change the contrast dynamic with the garnets, and of course, you may decide to use a different type of stone in the center all together.

3D design review
After you accept the estimate and make a down payment, we create a 3D CAD model and rendered views. Revisions within the initial design parameters are included; changes to materials or their amounts are re-estimated.
Physical model
A full-size wax model can be made to review scale, shape and proportions before production. It can be viewed in a showroom or shipped to you.
Approval and production
The design is approved before production begins. Your designer confirms the schedule, and our jewelers make, set and finish the piece.
Quality
Our custom jewelry follows design and construction standards for metal thickness, weight, stone support and setting security.
- Structure and support
- The setting must have enough metal to support the stones and hold its shape through everyday wear. If an area needs more support, we address it before production.
- Diamond and gemstone selection
- We help you choose stones for your custom design, reviewing cut, color, clarity, consistency and fit. Your budget guides these choices; our standards for materials and craftsmanship remain the same.
- Final inspection
- Before completion, we review each custom piece for proportion, comfort, stone security and finish.

Coverage conditions
For Joseph Jewelry custom pieces, coverage begins with your signature. To keep it active, Joseph Jewelry must inspect and sign for your piece every six months and perform recommended repairs and maintenance.
Repairs due to normal wear and tear are the owner's responsibility. Damage, abuse or alterations can void coverage. Customers outside Washington pay shipping both ways for inspections or repairs, plus applicable duty or customs fees.
