This makes the bezel setting very strong, and a popular engagement ring setting choice among women who use their hands frequently, such as nurses and other healthcare workers. The bezel setting securely and tightly holds the stone in place so that it will not fall out. Some jewelry purchasers choose pieces with full bezel settings, which entirely surround the gemstone or diamond, while others prefer a partial bezel setting, also called a half-bezel setting or semi-bezel setting. With this latter option, the metal only partially surrounds the gemstone or diamond. The most common reason that people choose partial bezel settings is that it's easier to access and thus clean the stone, compared to a full bezel setting.
