Jewelry Repair Service in Seattle & Bellevue
Jewelry repair helps keep the pieces you wear and value in good condition.
At Joseph Jewelry, we repair and restore many types of fine jewelry, from everyday rings and necklaces to older family pieces that need more detailed work. Some repairs are simple, while others involve rebuilding worn areas, replacing missing parts, or restoring a piece that has seen years of use.
Our jewelers use both traditional bench skills and repair methods such as laser welding when the work calls for it. That gives us more control when working on delicate areas, heat-sensitive gemstones, and pieces that need careful handling.
We specialize in:
• Jewelry Repairs: Ring resizing, prong rebuilding, chain repair, clasp replacement, stone tightening, and other common jewelry repairs handled with care.
• Laser Welding: A useful option for certain repairs that need precision and less heat exposure around sensitive stones or detailed metalwork.
• Heirloom Restoration: Repairing and restoring older jewelry, including worn shanks, missing stones, damaged settings, and faded details.
We also help with repairs tied to life events and long-term wear, whether that means resizing a wedding ring, restoring a family piece, or updating jewelry so it can be worn again with confidence.
With locations in Seattle and Bellevue, Joseph Jewelry offers repair and restoration services for jewelry that deserves careful, skilled work.

Antique Restoration
Older jewelry often needs a different level of care than standard repair work.
Family heirlooms and antique jewelry can have worn settings, thin metal, missing details, or older construction methods that need to be handled carefully. Our team works to preserve the original character of the piece while making the repairs needed to restore its structure and wearability.
Depending on the piece, that may include rebuilding worn areas, replacing missing parts, restoring hand-applied details, or recreating sections that can no longer support the design. We use a mix of bench work, CAD support when needed, laser welding, and hand finishing to approach these projects with as much accuracy as possible.
We specialize in:
• Rebuilding Missing or Worn Details: Recreating damaged settings, worn decorative elements, clasps, and other parts that are needed to restore the piece.
• Careful Structural Repair: Using the right repair method for delicate antique jewelry, including laser welding when it helps protect surrounding materials.
• Restoring Surface Details: Bringing back hand engraving and other design elements that give older jewelry its character.
Our goal is to help preserve the piece, keep its original character where possible, and make it strong enough to be enjoyed again.

The reason I chose Joseph Jewelry was because of their web site, great customer service, and the ability to make custom designs. When I started off looking for an engagement ring for my fiance, I looked everywhere for a ring that both my fiance and I liked. I found the perfect vintage Victorian era ring (fiance approved) however, being vintage, only one was available and of course sold before I had a chance to buy it. However, I decided a custom made ring would be better suited for us, since it wouldn't need to be resized or refurbished. The custom ring also had the benefit of looking vintage, but with all the durability of a new ring. We're from Texas, so at first I started looking in shops in Texas. I found several in Dallas and Houston, one never responded to my email and the other answered very quickly. At first the shop was very enthusiastic about my idea, but as I asked more questions their responses got slower and slower. They didn't tend to really answer my questions, and the messaging system was a pain to use so I ultimately started looking at shops out of state. I found Joseph Jewelry by accident, but I found their site to be so much easier to navigate than others. Their messaging app was also way easier to use than the previous shops I had worked with. Their message starts with this prompt: List: To begin your new design, 1. Please describe your ideas of what you would like to create. 2. What is your budget for this project? 3. What is the finger size for this project? 4. What type of Gemstones would you like to use? 5. What size Gemstones would you like to use? I had uploaded some pictures of the vintage ring I had found, and answered all the questions. Within an hour Joseph (the man, not the shop, the actual man), whereas the other place I had tried took a week to message me. He simply said, "Hi Baylor, we can recreate a ring that looks identical to images 1 and 2, we can even make it look better." and asked. "Do you want to get started?" The rest was even easier. Everything I asked for, they did and they offered advice if something I wanted might not have been the best idea. When we got the ring priced up, they asked for down payment on the ring. I had to wait about 7 months before I could pay the down payment, but when I was ready, I messaged them and they responded quickly, like normal, I payed, and every thing was a go. After the down payment was payed, I had the ring in my hand in a little over a month. In that month before they started working on it, their designer, Usiel, sent me a 3D PDF file of the ring so I could see what the ring was going to look like and if anything needed to be changed. If I wanted to see how something looked he would change it and send it to me, normally within 5 hours. As soon as I was satisfied, with the way it looked, they put the ring into production. As the ring was being made they would send me updated photos. When the ring was finished they sent me some very nice digital photos of it and shipped it to my address for free. The ring arrived in a little box that said, "Joseph Jewelry" on it and along with it there was an envelope with an appraisal and a pamphlet with all the info about the diamond. We've been extremely satisfied with the purchase.
